The Three Quatrefoils, The Trinity of God

In the upper  tracery of the Divinity Window are the three quatrefoils, so placed as to represent the idea of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

The first shows an adoring angel, bearing a pure scroll with "JEHOVAH" the name of God the Father broidered upon it in the Hebrew language. The companion angel is upholding an endless circle of seven lights burning (seven being the sacred number expressive of completeness and perfection) -- and shown in Isaiah's prophecy, chap. 11, verse 2: "And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord."

In the circle of Light is written the word Paraclete (the Greek name of the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost), thus bringing into view the Person and the Work of the Spirit of the Living God. The upper and central quatrefoil (amid the lilies of purity and holiness that occupy intermediate spaces of the window) shows the Word of God open at the place where the New Testament joins the Old. Upon the holy pages is laid the "Latin" Cross, just over Our Savior at the passover. Thus we note in the three quatrefoils the Hebrew, the Greek, and the Latin, the three languages in which our Saviors name was written over His holy head when He was atoned for us all.  In a sea of light above the Word is seen, rising, the morning Sun of Easter, typical of the "Resurrection of the Body and the Life Everlasting. God is Light, Life, Law, Love and Liberty" (Zech 4:10, 3:9.  Revelation 1:4, 4:5, 5:6).
